Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai 2016 to Address Surging Demands 20-22 July Shanghai, China

(Shanghai, China, 20 July, 2016) With new generation parents becoming a core group of consumers in the child, baby and maternity products market, children’s apparel is becoming more stylish than ever. UBM China Baby Products Market Consumer Research Report 2015 finds that design is one of the most important factors taken into consideration when consumers purchase children’s clothing. The return of the 3rd edition of Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai 2016 held concurrently on 20-22 July with CBME China 2016 sets to address the demand for highend children’s apparel with trend forums, fashion shows, by bringing together 70+ global fashion brands.

“The demand for the children’s wear in China has shifted from fulfilling basic needs to pursuing fashion and style. Nowadays, Chinese kids want to look cool” and chic”, said Aber, Marketing Director of Shenzhen Perseus Brand Management Co., Ltd., an exhibitor at Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai 2016, which opens today at the National Exhibition & Convention Center (Shanghai). “We have therefore incorporated these elements into our products, which we are bringing to the showground,” he added.

“With an upward-moving consumption pattern, differentiation by style, branding, and marketing have become more prominent. Low prices are no longer effective in securing market share; conversely, the ability to suit personal taste differences is getting more important,” Pinky Lu, Product Center Director of Kidswant Children Products Co., Ltd. reckons.

Yanjing Wang, Procurement Manager of Baodaxiang Shopping for Kids Group Co., Ltd. says, “China’s kids fashion market currently sees a fierce competition. Brands are constantly pushing out new products and the new generation of consumers are more interested in style, brands and value for money.”

Among the 70+ global fashion brands participating in Cool Kids Fashion 2016 are B. DUCK (Hong Kong), CCILU (Japan), COCOLICO (France), LAB BY BABY (Korea), Metro Kids Company (Portugal), MIM-PI (Netherlands), OVERKIDS (Italy), RIA (Spain), SHADEZ (Switzerland) and Tip Toey Joey (Brazil). The event will bring together distributors, department stores and property developers, franchisees and fashion buyers, to meet their various needs and find trends.

Keely Deininger, General Manager of Little Linens Ltd of the award-winning brand Angel’s Face said: “We are launching our spring and summer collections for 2017 to the show. One of our highlights is the Romantic Lace collection. Adopting the colours of cotton candy, the products are both exquisite and interesting.”

Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai 2016 will also host a number of events to showcase latest fasion trends, creativity, innovation and talent in the kids fashion industry, which include:

Ÿ   Trend Forums: Ms. Zhang Yiling, Creative Director of WGSN will share her insights on Fashion Trends for Autumn/Winter (2017/2018) and Mr. Raj, Visual Merchandising Manager of H&M will reveal his “Secrets of Displaying Kids Clothes”.

Ÿ   Kids Design Contest Gallery: Twenty shortlisted aspiring designers out of 1,035 contestants will have their designs and creations displayed at the Gallery, followed by a runway showcase at the Kids Fashion Show. The organizers will also assist in matching these designers with kids fashion brands and professionals to facilitate collaborations.

Ÿ   Kids Fashion Shows: Featuring the latest fashion for kids, the participating brands include Angles Face (UK), Babybol (Spain), Blaa (Finland), MAYA (USA), PennyScallan (Australia) and TEDDY DOCTOR (China).

The world-famous CBME China will be co-located with Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai to showcase a full range of baby, child and maternity products in an exhibition space of 223,305sqm, with 3,673 brands from 2,366 suppliers on 20-22 July at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) Shanghai, China.
